Former Kentucky quarterback Freddie Maggard will be the guest speaker for the Happy Heart Luncheon Friday at Centenary United Methodist Church in Danville from 11:30 a.m. until 1.
Maggard is currently a football analyst for Kentucky Sports Radio and also works for the UK Radio Network as a pregame host and game analyst. He recently has lost former teammates to heart disease.
The luncheon will give you a chance to learn more about heart disease and how to prevent it.
There will also be a diabetes and your heart presentation by Vicki Chapman of Ephraim McDowell Region Hospital.
The event is put on by Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation with the premier sponsor being Farmers National Bank and the major sponsors are Danville Office Equipment, Kentucky Trust Company and Trim Masters Charitable Foundation.
