Don’t look for sophomore Tai Wynyard or freshman Jemarl Baker to play the rest of the season.

Baker has not played because of preseason knee surgery. Wynyard has not played since the win over Georgia on Dec. 31 because of a back injury.

Kyle Tucker of asked Kentucky coach John Calipari about both players on today’s SEC coaches teleconference.

Calipari reveleaded then that Wynyard has a disc problem.

“He’s tried to come back twice, it hasn’t worked, so I think at this point he’ll be sitting out the rest of the year,” Calipari said. “With Tai, I don’t think there would be a chance at this point (of him playing). He’ll be out.”

He had averaged 1.0 point and 1.8 rebounds in the eight games he played.

Baker has been shooting, but that’s it.

“Jemarl has been on the court shooting some, but he hasn’t done anything, so I can’t imagine with eight games to go he’ll be able to help us that way,” Calipari said.
