Mississippi junior forward D.J. Jeffries has decided to make his college decision tonight.

The 6-9 Jeffries — who is friends with 2019 Memphis star recruit James Wiseman — announced on Twitter that he had narrowed his college choices to Alabama, Mississippi State and Kentucky. He also has offers from Texas A&M, Florida, LSU, Georgia,  USC, Ole Miss, Missouri, Wake Forest, Wichita State and North Carolina .

He is ranked among the nation’s top 30 players in the 2019 junior class and Kentucky coach John Calipari was at his school last week.

He said he will announce  his decision at 8 p.m. tonight.

“He tells me he likes my demeanor, my body language, the way I play hard and fight all the time,” Jeffries said about Calipari when he played at the Marshall Count Hoop Fest earlier this sason.

He scored 35 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Olive Branch (Miss.) to a 91-74 win over Adair County. He had 25 of his points in the second half after Olive Branch led only 44-41 at halftime.

Calipari and assistant coach Kenny Payne came to Marshall County to see him play only a few hours after UK beat Harvard in Rupp Arena.

Jeffries made it sound then like UK was clearly his favorite.

“People in Kentucky, they love their basketball team. I feel like that’s something I want to be a part of,” Jeffries said after his team’s game then.
