Junior linebacker Kash Daniel of Paintsville came to Kentucky with big expectations for himself.
He’s been primarily a special teams player for two seasons, but now he could get his chance to start after the graduation of two-year starter Courtney Love.
Kentucky coach Mark Stoops wants to see “consistency and good play” from Daniel this year
“He’s got some years under his belt. He’s played some football. He was behind a guy last year that was hard to take off the field in Courtney, but I do believe that Kash can give us much of those same things that we got from Courtney and that’s a guy with great passion, great leadership qualities,” Stoops said.
“ He is big and strong. You know, there’s an area there where you’re working on lateral quickness and movement and athleticism in the open field that again, we need to improve, in certain — in certain areas with the Mike linebacker position in general.”
