Less than two weeks after Doss defensive end Shawnkel Knight-Goff gave Kentucky a huge verbal commitment, he has changed his mind.
The three-star defensive end posted on Twitter tonight that he is no longer committed to Kentucky only 13 days after his verbal pledge.
“I would like to gracefully thank University Of Kentucky for their efforts in recruiting me. University of Kentucky is a great school. I feel as if my commitment was rushed and not fully thought through and I want to make the best decision for my future. Therefore, I plan to research my decision a little further,” Knight-Goff tweeted.
“I’m going to open my recruiting process back up as I continue my search for the college that is best fit for my career and most importantly, my education. Again, thank you Kentucky for your interest.”
He’s a top 10 player in Kentucky and was a big pickup for Kentucky after the way coach Mark Stoops and his staff have struggled to land in-state players the last two years. His commitment came not long after UK recruiting coordinator Vince Marrow took over as chief recruiter in Kentucky like he has been in Ohio since Stoops’ arrival at Kentucky.
