Despite some continual speculation that Memphis East High School star James Wiseman will re-classify to the 2018 recruiting class (a claim he’s denied for nine months or more), it keeps looking like he will stay in the 2019 recruiting class where he is one of the top two players in almost every recruiting ranking.
Wiseman plans to make an unofficial visit to Kentucky in August.
The five-star big man initially indicated this summer that it was not simply a battle between Kentucky and Memphis for him. However, during an interview on ESPNU he said that Kentucky and Memphis were “definitely my top two schools” despite listing eight schools on his final college list.
Wiseman is scheduled to play in the Marshall County Hoop Fest again in December. So is UK commitment D.J. Jeffries, his AAU teammate this summer.
