Another day, another big-time scholarship offer for Pendleton County star Donate Allen.
He landed an offer from Auburn, last year’s Southeastern Conference regular-season champion, on Saturday a few hours after getting one from St. Louis. Earlier this week while playing for M.A.T.T.S. Mustangs in the Under Armour Challenge he got offers from Florida, Pitt, Illinois, Iowa State and Oklahoma.
He has 14 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals in a win Saturday after hitting a 17-foot shot at the buzzer Friday in a 33-point effort to give his team a win.
He averaged 26.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in front of a bevy of college coaches, including Kentucky’s John Calipari, this week. He played against five-star guard Josiah James one game that had West Virginia coach Bob Huggins, Western Kentucky coach Rick Stansbury, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, Kansas coach Bill Self and Louisville coach Chris Mack watching.
The 6-6 wing player has offers from Purdue, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Xavier and Western Kentucky along with the ones he landed this week.
