Kahlil Whitney wastes no time showing how he feels about UK scholarship offer

Five-star small forward Kahlil Whitney didn’t need long after getting a scholarship offer from Kentucky coach John Calipari on Friday to show just how interested he is in the Wildcats.

The 6-6, 190-pound forward from Roslle, N.J. is a top 20 player in the 2019 recruiting class.

ESPN recruiting director Paul Biancardi reported Monday that Whitney will take an official visit to Kentucky Aug. 3-5.  Whitney’s father, Kelly, told Biancardi about the visit.

Biancardi noted on Twitter that Whitney has “terrific measurables and skills” with a 7-foot wingspan and 40-inch vertical jump.

“Major versatility in his game,” Biancardi tweeted.

Illinois has been the leader for Whitney but he had made his love for UK clear and now it seems Calipari feels the same way about Whitney.

Whitney also has offers from Syracuse, Louisville and Georgetown.

  1. Can he shoot? I’m tired of getting these “athletic” players that can drive to the basket and score in high school, but have very little skill in shooting the ball.

  2. Can he shoot?

Of course he can! In fact he must be able to shoot, lights out, because I remember Coach Calipari saying so a couple of months ago.

Remember, he said he would not recruit players in the future who cannot shoot.

Therefore, since this player is being recruited, he must be able to shoot.

I also have some nice waterfront land in south central florida for sale. LOL

    1. He shot well in Peach jam
