When I got to spend some time with Kentucky sophomore defensive lineman Quinton Bohana I asked him who might be one player most people don’t know a lot about who could become a defensive star this year.
I thought he might think about it a bit, but he never hesitated.
“I think you all know Boogie Watson. He is going to jump out. If you don’t know, you will,” Bohana, a nose guard from Memphis, said.
Kentucky needs depth and talent at linebacker. Watson is expected to start at outside linebacker against Central Michigan Sept. 1.
But why does Bohana think he’s going to become a name player?
“He puts in the work and we see it,” the sophomore lineman, who is also being counted on to have a breakout season, said. “We see how natural he is and what he does so effortlessly. The more he is on the field, the more havoc he will cause and that’s really going to be good for our defense.”
