Western Hills’ Wandale Robinson has another big game before UK visit tonight

Western Hills’ Wandale Robinson is scheduled to be at Kroger Field tonight along with several other top recruits, including several more in-state players, and once again he had a big game Friday night.

In a 32-0 win over Washington County, he ran 19 times for 181 yards and four touchdowns, caught two passes for 11 yards and one score, completed a 15-yard pass and had 12 tackles.

Through six games, his numbers are sensational. He’s rushed 109 times for 1,360 yards — 11 yards per carry — and 16 touchdowns with a long run of 87 yards. He’s caught 11 passes for 322 yards — 30 yards per catch — and seven touchdowns with a 75-yard reception as his longest.

He’s returned three punts for 161 yards, including one of 96 yards, and two scores. He’s thrown a touchdown a pass. He has over 1,900 yards of total offense.

On defense, he has 32 solo tackles, assists, four tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Western Hills will host Lexington Catholic Oct. 5. The Knights are led by quarterback Beau Allen, a junior who also has a Kentucky offer.

Robinson will make his final official visit to Ohio State next weekend. He’s already made visits to Alabama, Michigan, Nebraska and Purdue.

He plans to make his college choice in October, graduate in December and start college in January.

  1. Larry, I believe this young man and the Western Hills group goes against a Chuck Smith defense after Boyle County plays LexCath in mid month. THAT should be a good one except It’ll be played on the Western home turf
