There’s no better day for me than Christmas. I just love it. Maybe it’s because my late father — who I still miss after all this time — loved Christmas so much.
I hope all my blog sponsors who make it possible for me to maintain this website and share stories with you have a great time today. Same for Gary Moyers and Kent Brown who maintain the site for me and others who contribute stories, photos and videos.
Also special thanks to all of you who read my work here or at lex18.com where the folks have been great to me. I will never be able to adequately thank Alan Cutler for giving me a chance to write for lex18.com at a time when I thought my journalism might be over a lot sooner than I expected. Bridgette Howard, Alexia Walters and Melissa Ratliff take such good care of me at lex18.com that I would be lost without them.
Same with Jon Smith and Tim Estes of the WPBK Radio Group out of Stanford. They gave me a chance to work for them when I had no idea if I would be working anywhere again. They are both now dear friends and supporters in so many ways.
Ditto for the papers across the state who saw value in using my column weekly after I suddenly found myself without anyone to write for. I hear so many comments from readers across the state — and get so many great suggestions from them.
I’m truly blessed and now love what I do more than I ever imagined I ever could when I had to leave what I was doing four years ago and start over.
So Merry Christmas to all of you . Enjoy today.
