Kentucky managed to surprise many when it added point guards Ashton Hagans and Immanuel Quickley to the same recruiting class — and both have been significant contributors for UK this season.
Now Calipari is apparently focusing on adding two of the two point guards in the 2020 recruiting class in Sharife Cooper of Georgia and Jeremy Roach of Virginia.
Calipari recently visited Cooper, the No. 2 point guard in the 2020 class, and he has a visit to Kentucky set for Feb. 23 when Kentucky hosts Auburn. Roach is the No. 1 point guard in the 2020 class but has yet to set a visit to Kentucky but he did make an unofficial trip to UK last season.
He’s not playing now after tearing his ACL before the season started. He’s expected back for the AAU season.
Calipari also had success with guards John Wall and Eric Bledsoe in his first recruiting class.
