What a fun day in the Smoky Mountains today. Left Pigeon Forge and ended up driving about 13 miles up into the mountains because the snow was so gorgeous. Even ran into two 22-year-old hikers who left Georgia Jan. 1 on the Appalachian Trail and hope to be back home in Pennsylvania by March 1. Notice that one even had his shoes and socks off letting his feet warm up in the sun at Newfound Gap — where the temperature was 28 degress.
Enjoy the photos I took.
