After making an official visit to Washington State last weekend, Lexington Catholic quarterback Beau Allen will take his official visit to hometown Kentucky this weekend.

“I really have a good bond with the coaching staff and have grown close to them,” Allen said. “I want to get to know even more about the program and what the future is going to be looking like.

“Of course, I have also grown up a Kentucky fan and followed the program for a long time.”

He also likely will take an official visit to West Virginia where former UK offensive coordinator Neal Brown is the new head coach. Brown offered Allen shortly after getting the West Virginia job.

“I never had contact with the West Virginia staff before coach Brown got there,” Allen said. “I can’t wait to see all the great things they are going to do. Personality-wise, just the way he handles everything is so great.

“I really like his character and how he runs a program. He has great people around him. He’s just special.”
