Could Kentucky being gaining ground with 2020 guard Brandon Boston?

Kentucky basketball’s biggest recruiting concern today is whether Jaden McDaniels will pick home-state Washington or the Wildcats. However, while McDaniels remains undecided as far as we know, there was some significant movement in the 2020 class with 6-6 shooting guard Brandon Boston of Norcross, Ga. recruiting analysts Jerry Meyer and Andrew Slater both changing their predictions for Boston from Duke to Kentucky.  Auburn had also been perceived as a more likely landing destination for Boston compared to Kentucky.

Boston is a consensus top 15 player in the 2020 recruiting class and a player that could continue to see his stock rise. He’s already No. 6 in the ESPN rankings and No. 7 at

Another plus for the Boston surge is that his AAU teammate is five-star point guard Sharife Cooper. The two have gone public with their talk about playing together in college. Auburn is the perceived leader for Cooper while Duke remains a strong contender for Boston.

Boston, who got an early offer from Kentucky, also has offers from LSU, Florida, Kansas, UCLA, Texas and Ohio State.
