Before South Carolina cornerback Andru Phillips made his verbal commitment to Kentucky last week, Louisville Christian Academy offensive lineman John Young predicted it was going to happen as soon as he made his verbal commitment to UK a day earlier.

Now Monday night Lexington Catholic quarterback Beau Allen, another top 10 player in Kentucky, will make his college choice and Phillips is hoping it will be another Kentucky commit.

“John had a good feeling about me. He kind of predicted it (my commitment) I guess,” said Phillips.

What about Allen’s decision?

“We are trying to keep him home. I feel good about it,” Phillips said.

If Allen does commit to UK, the same school where his father player, he likely will be all-in with the Cats like Young and Phillips.

“I am 100 percent down with Kentucky just like John,” Phillips said. “I am not going to visit other schools or talk to anyone else.”

  1. Just maybe Allen stays home and picks the Cats.

  2. I’m hearing he is a UK Wildcat.

  3. Boy, this young man is something else…his highlites look like they deleted some of the frames-blazing fast and a real hitter, wow!
