Esther’s Wellhouse Body Scrub unique experience but had so many benefits

Coffee can help reduce inflammation and increase blood flow as I learned after having a Coffee Body Scrub at Esther’s Wellhouse in Stanford.

STANFORD — It has been about two weeks since I did something I had never done before — I got an Esther’s Wellhouse Coffee Scrub.

Esther’s Wellhouse is a unique spa in downtown Stanford. My first trip was for a massage that was great and Maria Montgomery went with me for what she said was the “best” facial she had ever had. Considering her modeling career takes over all over the country, that was high praise.

But I’ll admit when Wendy Skipper, Spa Director and Esthetician, told me about the benefits of the “body scrub” I really didn’t know what to expect. However, I trusted her expertise but never ever was I expecting her to use coffee for the treatment.

“When you regularly exfoliate residual dirt and dead skin cells, your skin becomes healthier in appearance and works efficiently to expel toxins and take in nourishment,” Skipper said. “Coffee reduces inflammation, increases blood flow, is packed with antioxidants, and helps smooth the appearance of cellulite.”

She uses a Plainview Farm product that she says is a “natural exfoliating scrub made with Baxter’s Coffee, Dead Sea Salts, coconut and olive oil.”

There’s other options she can use but I wanted the best and she said this was her favorite.
“This energizing full body exfoliation combines coffee and hydrating mineral salts to detoxify and stimulate your skin. It is finished with a hydration application leaving your skin nutrient rich, rejuvenated and revitalized,” Skipper said.

I felt rejuvenated when I left and have felt great for two weeks. I’ve also noticed a big difference with my skin moisture and that’s why this week I will be going to Kentucky Soaps and Such in Stanford to buy the Natural Nanny Body Cream to keep my skin that way.

Kentucky Soaps and Such has a goat milk bar soap that can be used as a hand soap or facial wash and has oils that provide a variety of “healing” benefits.
