Point guard Sharife Cooper admits he’s thought about playing college basketball with B.J. Boston.

“We always talk about that. But I don’t know what the future holds,” Cooper told Rivals.com’s Krysten Peek after a Peach Jam game Saturday.

Cooper and Boston are both Kentucky recruiting targets even though many seem to think Cooper is a definite Auburn lean. Boston has seemed more infatuated with UK recently.

Cooper told Peek he planned to take official visits in the fall but was not yet sure where he might visit. Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Oregon are among the other schools recruiting him the hardest.

“It is definitely fun talking to coaches and seeing what they got and seeing all the different colleges,” Cooper told Peek.

He told Peek that he talks to “Cal quite often” but he has not set time to make a college commitment. He even told the Rivals.com recruiting writer that schools who have recruited him the longest do not necessarily have an advantage over schools who might have started later pursuing him.

“I am not in a rush,” Cooper said.
