At last season’s McCracken County Mustang Madness one of the most impressive players I saw play was 6-9 Isaiah Jackson of Spire Academy. He had multiple skills to go with his size to make him unique even though playing on the loaded Spire Academy team he sometimes got a bit overlooked despite being a top 20 player in the 2020 recruiting class.
Jackson now has over 20 scholarship offers and the five-star forward is taking an official visit to Kentucky this weekend even though he doesn’t have a scholarship offer yet.
Michigan State remains the perceived leader for the Detroit star but his other offers include Memphis, Louisville, Michigan, Auburn, Alabama, Mississippi State, Indiana and Xavier.
I can remember watching him knock down 3-pointers but also run the floor extremely well, soar above the rim and throw down crowd-pleasing dunks.
He will play for Waterford Mott High School in Michigan this year — his fourth school in four years. However, taking this visit to Kentucky where a scholarship offer likely will come could mean that UK coach John Calipari has decided to target him as one of his main recruits for next season.

Even bigger basketball recruiting news for UK according to 247Sports is that Josh Christopher will make an unofficial visit to UK for Big Blue Madness and then come back when Georgia plays at UK for an official visit (interesting thing here is that the recruit knows when that game is even though the schedule has yet to be released).
Christopher, one of the top players in the 2020 class, has been a recruiting priority from the state for Calipari. The guard will also visit Michigan, Missouri, UCLA and Arizona State.
Another top 2020 guard, Jalen Green, has indicated he will take an unofficial visit to Kentucky and some are speculating it could be for Big Blue Madness even though he’s not said that. Green and Christoper are both friends with Brandon Boston, a UK verbal commit.
Green has visited Florida State and Memphis and also plans to go to Oregon and Arizona.
He will play several times in Kentucky this year with Prolific Prep starting with Marshall County Hoopfest in December.
